About the Opportunity

A global company based in Johannesburg is offering an exciting HR Learnership for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic HR team and build a strong foundation for your career. The position is a 2-month contract and will expose you to a range of HR functions and responsibilities.

Role Overview

As an HR Learner, you will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, contributing to the efficient and effective functioning of the department. This role is ideal for a recent graduate eager to gain practical HR experience in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent and rigorous HR processes, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Track and process financial matters, including budget control, invoices, expenses, and credit card administration.
  • Manage and maintain HR databases with accuracy.
  • Provide support for email, phone, or walk-in inquiries related to HR matters.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to address employee needs and issues proactively.
  • Support payroll administration and ensure timely processing for all employees.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for internship and apprenticeship programs, onboarding new employees, managing current staff, and processing exit procedures.
  • Work effectively under tight deadlines with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Relevant degree in Human Resource.
    • Must be a recent graduate with no prior HR learnerships or similar programs.
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Resilient, adaptable, and capable of working in a high-pressure environment.
    • Sensitivity, discretion, and diplomacy in handling confidential HR matters.
    • Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines consistently.
    • Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive in taking ownership of responsibilities.

      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
