A listed and expanding organization in the automotive industry is seeking an influential and dynamic Managing Director to join their leadership team in Johannesburg. Role Overview

The Managing Director will oversee the company’s strategic direction, operations, and overall performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and ensure the achievement of budgeted profits by effectively managing operating costs.
  • Develop and implement robust strategies, processes, and cost-saving initiatives to ensure business sustainability and growth.
  • Oversee business planning, financial risk management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Lead and manage day-to-day business operations to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Foster and maintain top-quality customer service as a key business priority.
  • Continuously train, develop, and manage staff to maintain a high-performing workforce.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective contract and relationship management.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Completed tertiary qualifications (Diploma or Degree); MBA is advantageous.
    • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the automotive industry.
    • 5-8 years in senior leadership positions, such as Dealer Principal, General Manager, or Managing Director.
    • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to analyze and manage budgets effectively.
    • Proven experience in people management and staff development.
    • Ability to identify and solve problems while developing innovative solutions.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
    • Business-savvy mindset with a focus on achieving results.

      Preferred Skills

      • Experience within the African market is highly advantageous.
      • Proven ability to implement financial risk management strategies.
      • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
