A leading private security company in South Africa is seeking an experienced Senior Technician to join their team in Rustenburg. As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to system integration and delivering exceptional technical support for our clients.
- Install, maintain, and repair CCTV systems, IP surveillance systems, and access control solutions.
- Perform system design and ensure full functionality of all components.
- Conduct troubleshooting and fault finding to ensure systems operate optimally.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and team members as needed.
- Work with SQL databases for system integration and reporting (advantageous).
- Utilize Milestone software and other relevant tools to manage surveillance systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, including SAIDSA and PSIRA regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system installations and maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in security technology.
| Required Skills and Qualifications |
- Grade 12 certificate (matric).
- Certifications in CCTV End User, Networking (wired and wireless), and SQL (advantageous).
- SAIDSA Technical certificates (preferred).
- PSIRA certification.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and fault finding for security systems.
- Strong understanding of access control and IP surveillance systems.
- Proficiency in Milestone software and SQL databases (advantageous).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if required.
- In-depth knowledge of networking principles and system integration.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Experience in training junior technicians and clients on system functionality.
