As an IT Infrastructure & Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the company’s IT environment, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
As the Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, telephony, and cloud services. You will ensure high system availability, implement preventative measures, and provide technical support to resolve escalated issues. Working closely with the IT Ops Manager and broader IT team, you will also contribute to defining policies, improving processes, and driving automation to support long-term scalability and security.
- Administer, monitor, and maintain company network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, wireless).
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers (physical and virtual) to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure system uptime, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex escalated IT and infrastructure issues.
- Implement and maintain security policies, patch management, and documentation.
- Collaborate with the IT Ops Manager to define infrastructure and security procedures.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices to recommend improvements.
| Required Skills and Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT infrastructure and network administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Proven expertise in network administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with SQL backups and Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA.
- Experience with ManageEngine products, monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix), or scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)..
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including participation in an on-call rotation if required..
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
